We woke up wayyy too early for anyones taste and had to pack up our rooms in Beit Meir. We then left on a really long bus ride, heading all the way up towards the North of Israel for the weekend. We stopped in Caesaria, where Mrs. Swerdlov spoke about the Aseres Harugei Malchus. We discussed their mesiras nefesh, and we then spoke about what it means to have mesiras nefesh in our days. One girl spoke about how in our days, no one is reminding us that we are Yidden, so we need to remind ourselves, and always make a Kiddush Hashem. Our next stop was in the city of Tzfat where we had a short tour with Yossi, who is probably the greatest tour guide in the city, and who happens to have the special gift of being able to speak for a really long amount of time. One of our stops was the home of Yosef Cairo, where we ate lunch. We then boarded the bus to Meron, to the Zelikovitches beautiful guest house and got ready for Shabbos. One thing I found interesting was when Yossi explained why the holy parts of the city are painted blue, to avoid the angel of death, who may think it is water or the sky.
